Manuscript Analysis
A big-picture read of your manuscript focused on structure, character, pacing, and voice. This feedback gives you a starting point to assess why or why not your manuscript is working.
What's included:
One full read of your manuscript.
A 10–15 page editorial letter covering: overall structure, character arcs, pacing, voice consistency, theme, and where the manuscript is strongest/weakest (note: this service does not include line edits).
One follow-up call or written Q&A to discuss the letter.
Best for: Writers who have a complete draft and want an outside read before querying or doing major revisions.
Word count limit: Up to 100,000 words.
Price: $0.03/word.
Turnaround time: 4–6 weeks from receipt of manuscript.
Developmental Editing
A deeper dive into your manuscript. This encompasses everything in the manuscript analysis, plus scene-level and chapter-level notes throughout.
What's included:
Full editorial letter (as above) with an additional full revision roadmap (what to tackle first, second, third, etc.).
In-line/margin comments throughout your manuscript addressing scene construction, dialogue, interiority, and pacing at the chapter level.
One round of feedback, plus an optional add-on for a second pass on revised chapters/sections.
One follow-up call per round of feedback.
Best for: Writers who want more of an editorial partnership.
Word count limit: Up to 150,000 words.
Price: $0.05/word.
Turnaround time: 8–10 weeks from receipt of manuscript.
Querying Services
Query material feedback for when you’re getting ready to submit your manuscript to literary agents.
What's included:
Query letter feedback (up to 2 rounds).
Synopsis feedback.
Comp title review and suggestions.
Best for: Writers who are preparing to query literary agents.
Page limit: Up to the first 50 manuscript pages. 1-page query letter. Up to 1,000 word synopsis.
Price:
QUERY LETTER ONLY: $50.
SYNOPSIS ONLY: $100.
FIRST CHAPTERS ONLY: $100 for up to 10 pages, +$25 per additional 10 pages up to 50 pages.
FULL QUERY BUNDLE FEEDBACK: $200 for a query letter + synopsis + first 10 pages.
Turnaround time: 2–4 weeks from receipt of query materials.
